Keep a snowflake and zebra together?

I have a zebra moray and a Picasso trigger in my fowlr. I also have a snowflake in my reef and he is starting to get big. Can I put him in my fowlr eventually or will he fight with the zebra? I have seen tanks on YouTube with both in them but figured I would get more opinions.

Oh yeah the fowlr is 85g.

I would not hesitate to add the 2 species together, seen it done many times. I've never kept zebras, but have mixed snowflakes with other Echidna morays in the past with no issues. Neither is an aggressive species as you know. I'd worry about the trigger picking on eels, but that's just me

My trigger has been tail biting the zebra. Which blows me away cause the trigger is 3" and the eel is 3.5 feet. Brave little guy but I think he's gonna have to go. Thanks for the info.

I agree, I'd take the trigger out, would be a shame if a zebra that size would get infections from an injury from the bites

I currently have a snowflake and zebra in the same tank. I would remove the trigger just because you will struggle with bioload in an 85 gallon tank with just the two eels.

Thanks for the help. I am going to remove the trigger. Sad to see him go I've had him since he was 1" about 6" now. He's been in there so long he won't let anyone else in. Just those two eels will b a large bioload? I have a 55 sump. I was planning on putting in a puffer and lionfish as well. Is that a bad idea?

with the sump, thats not too bad of a bioload, but the shear space for a puffer and lion also would be pretty darn cramped. If it were me i would be running a decent size fuge in that sump to keep nitrates down as you know eels are messy. I would consider a dwarf lion (possibly fuzzy?), or a smaller puffer.

I was planning on going with a dwarf. And for the puffer I was thinking dog face. Thanks for the info. The zebra is not active at all and I only feed her every three days. The snowflake on the other hand is a mover. Lol likes to put the miles on. What is the smallest puffer and lion available?

Lions and puffers aren't really compatible. There are several species of dwarf puffers that would work well in that size tank though.

I had my lion and puffer in the same tank never had the problem. They did stay away from each other to.

The problem tends to be more that puffers are nippy fish, and can go after a lion's fins.
