Keeping Live Rock "Live"

Gonna Need A Bigger Tank
I recently acquired a bucket of live rock from a reefer leaving the hobby...what do I need to do to keep it "live"????
Currently it's sitting in a bucket of saltwater in my garage...
Thanks for the help.

I was thinking...I could put it in my 29 gal...(formerly a QT Tank) and then add powerhead and do water changes every so often...does that sound like it would work?

keep the flow going and if there are anything that needs light to survive give it some light. Ive kept LR in trashcans for monthes with just a powerhead and toping off evap with no problems at all. Keep the temp in a decent range and all will be ok

did you use copper in the qt tank? if so i wouldnt. also if you want the coraline to stay alive i would put some kind of light on it, although everyone says it should stay alive, i have found it does not.

Keep it like your main tank. Temp. controlled, good flow, clean water, balance of chems., and light again if it needs it. If you find the rock is not so fresh than I would "cook it". Just keep it in a stable tank in the dark with frequent water changes.
