How do YOU keep most of the overflow weight off the back of your tank? Just prop up the PVC at the bottom or is there some other ideas out there? (i am paranoid i am going to crack the back of my tank. Screwing in the union was all i could bare.

i have a 75 gallon tank and i have a tetra tech 500 a over flow a protein skimmer and a uv hanging off the back of my tank and i dont bat an eye at it so i wouldnt worrie about ur overflow

no i drilled my tank, and have 1 1/2" pvc drain pipe which connects to a bulk head in the back of the tank.

I had a 1 1/2" pvc drain pipe which connected to a bulk head in the back of my tank and the weight of the pvc just cracked and broke my tank after 2 months. The water was everywhere and I lost everything. I even cut my foot on the glass.

Just kidding, getting you more paraniod lol. I have 2 pvc pipes connected to bulkheads and the weight of the pvc never effected the tank any.
