I was wondering is it useful to use this product. My calcium level are currently around 400. Will the liquid calcium help maintain my levels are is it more for maintaining the pink color. Someone please explain. Thanks.

pink color? calcium is used for stoney coral growth. So they can make and retain their skeletal material. Otherwise they wouldnot grow at all, and eventaully would fall off their bones and waste away to nothing. Same thing for Alk, but it also helps to buffer the water keeping PH in check, but also needed for calcification process.

The pink color you are referring to is coralline algae. There are better methods of maintaining your alkalinity and calcium levels, and easier too. 2-part additives give a balanced ratio of alkalinity and calcium. This way you aren't having to manually adjust alk and calcium seperately which can be a pain and risk overdose.

Target:
380-450 calcium
7-11dkh alkalinity
1250-1350 magnesium
