Kessil A360N-E or A360W-E for 18" depth

I was debating on which one to get, but I was told that the wider the light goes the deeper It will go. Right now I plan to start with one and later on I plan to get another one. Any suggestions the tank is 30X18X18?

You would want the wide version. Narrow version is for deeper tanks.
A narrower beam is more focused and does not lose intensity as fast as it penetrates the water, while a wider beam covers more area but does not penetrate as far before losing intensity.

So the W-E would work fine in 18" depth with no problem then?
