Kessil A80 and zoas.

Specs first.
IM Nuvo 10, Kessil A80, Sicce micra return, in tank media basket Only running chemipure blue. 1 neon blue goby, weekly 1 gallon water changes with RSCP.
Anybody have issues with this light not growing zoas?
The tank has been up for a year, zoas don't grow but they don't die off either. Really perplexing.

IM no noob to the hobby (18+ yrs). But I just can't get them to grow like I use too. I'm starting to think it's the light and also starting to think zoas just don't care all that much for LED. Water parameters are in check, tank and all equipment is pretty much like a dream as far as nano zoa tank are concerned. What gives?

There was another post a matter of hours ago where she had the same light and her Zoas wouldn't open. I think the light may be too strong, try putting them on the substrate or shade and see if they open.

I promise you the light isn't too strong. It's only 15w. My zoas did better under 240 watts of T5 at the same depth.
