KH guardian monitor review

Well after 2 days of brain storm I finally figured this monitor out. So far pretty consistent report however the result from my Hanna is way off so by Thursday then I can confirm with the salifert dkh test when it arrived.
I have to say it's very frustrated to set it up because the manual show both set up for monitor and pro version(3rd doser to adjust alk). Coralvue can't help u fast enough when u stuck at an error which there are many of them. The best way is join the Facebook group KH guardian and get support direct by the builder David Chang. They have or had wrong probe diagram on Coralvue site and I had a problem with the float switch not working properly, but since coming back it has run flawless taking measurements onece every 4 hours. Once you figure what test kit you are going to use you can calibrate Guardian to your preferred test kit. I just use it for a reference number now to see that my Alk is good when I am away. I am happy with the system, directions were tough until I found Dr. Bridge site.

A lot of people frustrated with this because they can find support when setting up. But after u got it going then just sit back and enjoy. A lot of good deal on the forum for both machine like 50% off lol

I'll wait till you figure this out and copy it hahaha

just had a salty experience with Coravue so I don't plan on giving them any more money. I'll find someone's used unit

Check the dry good I saw a couple for sale. It's not bad after I figure it out. Now I just look at the Apex display n know my dkh.

I have had one for a while now and I will say it has a learning curve but once it is going it is nice. I think understanding what the errors are and how to fix them is the tough part. The price drop on these is nice as well especially as the Alkatronic has now had a price increase.

Sad to say I am done with Hanna for inconsistent reading on the alk. a few new bottles and they were off. I had to check with salferit and gieseman test kits to figure things were off very frustrating.

So I have a question, do you put in your target dkh and it tests is then doses the right amount to maintain that level, is that correct?
How does it work with a calcium reactor?

Yes if you buy the pro model. I have the monitor model so it only test and display the dkh through out the day. U set up your cal reactor maintain just slightly below your target example target is 9dkh set up your cal reactor to maintain around 8.5 then the kh Guardian will Dose the rest through out the day.
