kh of 15 vs muriatic acid (in tank?)

hello all
i have a mixed reef 55g and i have not seen any loose of tissue yet but my kh is 15-16 for the last 2 weeks and i am worried it will start to kill my sps,
which is the marj of my tank- i know it will come into play at some point

ph 7.8 two weeks ago and now 8.2 but at the cost of spiking the kh

i should of used a buffer that didnt increase kh but lesson learned

i was thinkign about useing muriatic acid directly into tank?
or should i do a water change and put it in there

i will follow the rules of them on the chem fourm for the acid

Stop chasing PH. Ph is an indicator not an end. Learn from your mistake. Water changes to bring your chemistry back.

Just do water changes as that is the safest way to get things back under control. Don't drop the KH by more than 0.5-1.0 KH per day max. Don't bother trying to adjust your pH using chemicals. If you want to raise your pH then get fresh air to your skimmer.
