Kole Tang advice? experience?

THink I am about to get a kole tang, I have never had one before and was wondering if anyone had any advice or wanted to share some experiences

A great algae eater. Usually well-behaved, mild mannered. Great community fish as long as others aren't too aggressive.

Mine gets along with most of the fish. He only hates my lawnmower blenny.
My kole tang is always busy and keeps the rocks clean. He does eat coralline algae and nips on some of the corals.
I think he ate my clove polyps and some xenia heads.
Otherwise he's a really nice fish

Strange mine does exactly the same thing.

Mine too . He hates my lawnmower blenny cases it all around the tank.

I love mine. Eats just about anything (even from my hand) and is very friendly. Sometimes he thinks he is a firefish and will just hang out with them, it's pretty funny. Here is a pic of him:

thanx everyone, sounds like it might be the fish for me. I do have a bicolor blenny, I hope that they play nice. I actually wouldnt mind if he ate some of my xenia either, IT takes over my glass!
Really good looking fish Blazer. I have the same shrimp goby. He cracks me up on a daily basis. Does anyone else have any pics?

it will hide for a couple of weeks if it can. mine is doing great so far. that and they look great.

sorry to say but i don't think koles and blennies get along. my mothers messed with my klauswitz blenny all the time.(blennie was taking a vacation)

Hopefully they can get along, if they cant, the blenny will just have to go. I need the Tangs services, the services the blenny was supposed to help provide. But I have never seen him touch anything green the entire time he has been in my tank.

We had one and had to remove it. It was terrorizing everyone. It was in a 75 gal tank.

I thought that they were supposed to be one of the more peaceful tangs. Can anyone else attest to this behavior?

i have one and he gets along great with a tomato clown and royal gramma. Good fish.

So I am getting mixed reviews. I guess that can be expected with any fish. How long have you had your Kole tang?

I have had one for about a year. I recently (about two months ago) added a flame hawk and royal gramma and he chased them around the tank for about 3 days, but then he got used to them and does not bother them at all.

i have had mine for a about 15 months. great algae eater gets along great with all the other fish. i have never seen it eat any of the corals.

I've had a Kole for about 2 Years. Great fish, although he did kill my lawnmower blenny. He is fine with my Midas blenny, at least for now.

Dragonet_Dude, your Kole tang is really cute. Is that a yellow coris wrasse swimming next to your tang?

Thats funny, today I just picked up the Kole and a yellow and purple wrasse.
