E's Reef Tank
New member
Good evening Reefers,
This is my first blog to this site, as i have been in the hobby for years i frequently visit this site with any question i may have. After searching through many forums i was not able to find much guidance for my concern which is why i created my own thread. Anyway, I bought a Yellow Eyed Kole Tang about 1 week ago from a very reliable LFS (LFS, QT their tanks for at least 3 weeks before selling any fish). After QT him i released him in the tank. Maybe 2 days later i noticed what seems to be some very sticky sand flakes on his fin. He eats like a king, shows no signs of illness. I have dealt with numerous tanks/fish in the past with ick, and this does not look like that to me. Just looking to see if anyone else has had the same issue with any of their fish. I spoke to fellow reefers and they have had similar stories when it eventually just falls off. Any comments are appreciated!
--He did seem to have (2) pieces of sand stuck to his bottom fin.. now there is only one..
Thanks
Eric
Tank Info:
125 FOWLR, 30 gal refugium, Kole tang, Yellow Corise Wrasse, Wyoming white Clown, Juvenille Hippo Tang, Royal Gramma, shrimps, crabs, etc..
Water Paramaters: GOOD
