Kole tang with fin problem

I have had a kole tang in quarintine under hypo for possible ick for three weeks. We had some issues at first because my tank cycled a little when I put him in. With water changes daily and Amquil we made it through that. The kole was not eating well at first but now eats great. This morning I noticed his tail fin looks like it is missing color in some areas and there is a white area just behind his mouth. I did a water change first thing but my LFS reccomended I wait before doing anything else. Any ideas or reccomendations on meds.
