Koralia 4?

Hey I have a koralia 4 hooked up to my wave maker. Any idea or thoughts on how to get it to start up quietly? when it turns on the propeller bounces back and forth on the shaft making this awful noise. I was thinking about putting a "stopper" of some sort on the shaft to keep the prop magnet planted inside the housing. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Koralias can't be used on a start-and-stop wavemaker... well, they can but the manufacturer warns against it.
They have to be on an adjustable voltage controller like a Seio to work properly without risk of damage.

Use a piece of airline tubing to fill the space. Then you may need to glue the front piece on to ensure that it doesn't fly off. My friend does it and has his RK2 run them on timers.

I have 4 Koralias hooked up to a Wavemaster Pro on each of my 2 tanks. Had this setup for over a year now without losing a pump. They quiet down after a few days when the shaft gets some slime buildup. I've thought about the airline tubing trick, maybe I'll try that next time I clean them.

The air tubing is what I was thinking about today. Good to see someone is using that. I will try that. Thanks!
