koralia evolution experiences

Thinking about getting two 1050's for my 75G when I redo the rock work.
I have also considered the 1400, but, I think that might be a bit too much.
Anyone have them? likes - dislikes?
I currently have two 3's and they have help up well, but i want more flow.
Thanks

Maybe go with one 1400 and one 1050. That way you have a lot of flow and mediocre flow, on a randomized wave timer the 2 would work well.

I have 4 evolution 1400's in my 120. This gives me 50x's turnover in the tank.

I think I would go w/ 3 if I had a 75.

So far all positive on the Evolutions.
JoeRonda - how low in the tank can you put the 1400's before sand starts to stir?

vr697getta - had?

but for the money and how little energy they use Evolutions are a great choice. in my case i didn't 4 powerheads in my tank.

I really like vortech's, I like the idea of no heat in the tank, slim profile and all of the flow options, just a bit too steep right now.

thanks for the input.

You can put them anywhere except right at the bottom. I have two of them

at the top and two on the overflow box about halfway down.

I had 2 1400 evolutions and 2 old 1400 in my 175. I just went to 2 mp40s. My coral have PE that I never saw with the koralias. The koralias had to much direct flow and with the mp 40s I have them on different settings which simulates the ocean better. I ended up putting my koralias back in the tank on each end pointing to the front of the tank to ad some circulation down around the front.

Also, love the low profile of the mp40s.

I would save the money and go with 2 mp 10s for your tank.

Those 10's would be a little weak for a 75g wouldn't they?

I would go w/ 2 40's if you have alot of money to spare.

the mp10s can go to 1500. so you actually would be the same. But you gain the control programs. You can buy the 1400s with wavemaker but the 1400 evo for the wavemaker are actually more money than the standard.
