Korallin / Eheim white nylon screw location?

I'm trying to assemble my new Korallin calcium reactor, and the instructions say to remove the upside-down white nylon screw from the chamber lid, and then later to reinstall it to secure the Eheim pump to the lid. The assembly all makes sense, and looks just like the picture, but I cannot figure out how the screw attaches to the pump. There seems to be no hole for it, and the nut/washer don't fit into the slot for the base plate.

How exactly do you attach the pump to the lid using the white nylon screw? Thanks.

The Eheim pump has a removable base plate with 4 long holes. I guess it was designed so you can use suction cups on the pump. The white nylon screw goes throught one of the holes of the base plate.
