KY Stores

Heading down to Kentucky this weekend to visit my parents who just moved out there. They're living in Lexington. Anyone know of any decent reef shops there?

For future reference Just Fish is the only one i would recomend, if you come through louisville there are a couple better ones there, sandys is the only one i can think of

It's on the way if you are traveling 64 from 65. If you do travel that route it's definitely worth the stop. I've been to all salt stores local to Louisville and have to say Aquatica is the best pick. They actually care about and take pride in the livestock they have and it DOES NOT reflect in price. A little out of the way for me as well but I do all of my business (accept salt) there, and have yet to bring home the first parasite or ailing fish. Not too sure what's in Lexington, I do know a lot of people come here from there to get livestock

I just wanted anyone to know it was not in Lexington. I like going there but think they are a little high dollar. I have bough most of my frags from sandys special priced tanks. Eastend also has lots of stock. But they did not have prices marked on there tanks.

I will definitely check it out next time I go to visit my parents. That's the route we took, but unfortunately with the snow a couple weeks ago we lost a few hours of time and didn't get to go around much other than the bourbon factories :)

Well, we were down there for the entire weekend. Got a chance to stop into Just Fish in Lexington.

It was a cute store, clean tanks, knowledgeable staff. The coral selection was a little bit limited, but they did have a HUGE elegance there that the kid said they had had for about 8 months. If they had been open on Sundays, I probably would've gone back to get it before we left this morning.

They also had some decent fish. Not a giant selection, but there were quite a bit more uncommon ones there. Several Vlamingi Tangs, Pink-spot Gobies, Yellow Coris wrasses etc... or at least they are uncommon for the Indy area.

Next time we're down, we plan to head through Louisville to check out a couple around there.
