KZ Coral Booster and Flatworm stop review anyone?

Hi ,

Has anyone used Coral Booster and Flatworm Stop from KZ for great growth even though you do not have flatworms.
One of my friends use it and swears that it makes acros have thicker stronger base and amazing colors when mixed with pohl's extra .

Anyone use them regularly?

There are a few threads going back a few years if you want to search on them. This is what I got out of the few dozen pages.

• For people who already were doing everything that they could do and their reefs were tippy top, the additives did nothing.
• For those who were good, but not great, SPS keepers, there were some stated successes who thought that the stuff made a difference.

Some think that they people in the second group got the better results from the increased husbandry and awareness and not so much the additives. I tend to think this about the acropowers, marine snow, etc., so why not these products too?

Of course, there were the "best thing ever" posts from a few that did one dose a day before posting.

...so basically, not much in the way of anything definitive.

Hi had ,

First of all I want to thank you for providing your thoughts and replies .
Secondly , here are my tank parameters :-

30in x 30in x18in tank with Aquaforest Reef salt
2x250 watts radiums run on magnetic ballasts
1 gyre 130 , 3 6055 and a seaswirl for return
Deltec sc1350 skimmer

Parameters -
PO4 - 0.06 (ICP testing)
NO3- 5-10 due to heavy feeding
Ca - 425
Alk - 8.1
Mg - 1400
K- 390
Water changed every 7 days around 10-15%

Now ,biggest issue is with some of my acros being browned .
Examples are Hawkins Echinata , tri color valida .
I have even done ICP testing but can't find anything alarming other than high Ba and Al .

Hence looking at options of color enhancers as am at wits end with some of my acros .

Fws and or coral booster is not going to change colors of acros.

Flatworm stop will make your sps grow thicker that's what I notice with my tank. Change color u have to try the zeospur but becareful with dosage.

Zeospur is just copper sulphate which will do nothing except reduce the zooxanthellae density on ALL the acros. Zinc does much the same in a milder manner although from my experience it's much harsher on micro fauna like mysis and pods.

The browned acros will just become tanned acros........

Copper dosing is global climate change in a bottle. :thumbdown

Are you just using the AF salt or are you also using other stuff like the comp 123 or any aminos etc or anything other than basic two part balling. Any coral foods or other stuff ?

Other than fish food and alk, calc and Mg along with weekly water changes are you adding anything else at all ?

Thanks for the reply . Yes am using Aquaforest Khushi , mg , ca and reef mineral dry salts along with component string a,b,c and k .

Pro bios and np pro for nutrient reduction .

Was using coral a,b,v,e and was getting algae .. so stopped and no algae now .

Kz pif, xtra, and b balance are for color. Also aahc used sparingly but if your corals are turning brown I submit your nutrients are already high. Do some 30% water changes ( 2 or 3) in a week's time. Then get a par meter and acclimate your corals to higher lighting, that's what colors sps up . Good luck

I just chucked some chicken bones on the floor and did a reading - got the same bloody thing !
