Hi all,I'm looking for advice on lighting strengths used on the the sunset /sunrise mode, are the factory settings ok.around midday, they are at their strongest (on max, blue and white). It's about 4 weeks into the cycle, there's a fine 2cm covering is wavy green thread type algae all over the rock, also there is 1very small Xenia sitting high on the top.it looks ok,pulsating.ammonia is zero,as is nitrite and nitrates.also is it time to get clean up crew yet?

The led light is ever grow it 2060 in a 55 gallon tank( I metre deep)

Be careful, my fixture has really good light penetration and can easily bleach corals out on 100% output I'd start around 50% and work up 10% a week.

I think adding some CUC would be OK if your parameters are already at 0 and you've been feeding the tank to get the cycle running. I personally wouldn't be running a light during a cycle as it promotes algae growth like you're describing.

Ty for reply, with regards to adding food,I only did it once on about day 7, I put in a dried shrimp and a little flake.after that ,nothing else.theres a small xenia in tank its ok.the green thread algae is now bleached out or dying.im skimming 24 hrs a day now.do u think tank is cycled?

The best way to tell is to add some food (or straight ammonia) and watch the cycle closely to see how fast it progresses. (I like using straight ammonia so I can see how long it takes to get converted into something less harmful.) I also leave my skimmer on during a cycle.
