Hey there was someone before on the Upstate forum that made them himself. I think it was Bosborn but I am not positive. There are some good DIY threads on this too.. It is not that hard from what i have read, if you have the tools.. LOL

Let me know when you want to go to the hobby shop, I will go with you. i have 2 modded mj1200's and I would like to look into getting new propellers for them..

The Koralia mods look like they depend on the motor running backwards. I personally think think the koralias (stock) work great and are quiet as a mouse. And they cost as much as mjmods once all is said and done, and actually less if you buy a magnet mount for the mj's

Just curious, what don't you like about the Koralia?

I have a #2 and it move a lot of water without a direct stream on anything, it is also quiet and energy efficient. I was thinking of adding a #3 or #4.

I second the Hydor's...I think they are great (especially with the addition of the piece that narows the stream - do your's have that?). I had them before and got 2 new ones...they are so much better with that piece that attaches to the front. I also had a MJ mod...didn't really care for it. It was a little loud...and as Adam said, the Hydors are as quiet as they come.

That would depend on which impeller you use. i have a right hand drive impeller that i am putting on my hydor that makes it spin the normal way.

i have a 6 foot tank and just dosnt do it for me. i would be more then happy to trade them for some other power heads. maybe some seios.
