Lace rock for reef tank?

I got mine from ocean floor and had to run gfo for a while. It was fine at first, but around the six month mark I started getting a lot of GHA. I seeded my 110g with rock and some sand from another members tank that has been running for 4ish years. This hobby relies on patience that I have had so far. With that said, I do wish I did a different kind of rock. Regardless, it is way cheaper than buying cured live rock.

Best bet is to use live rock or the dry reef saver rock over the lace. Lace is less porous so isn't as beneficial and who knows what it may have in it. And the nice thing is to pick the pieces you like based on shape and size slowly and let your tank mature as your designing it.
