Lack of eurobracing dangerous?

Hi, I'm looking into buying a tank. It is made of low iron glass, however, it lacks the eurobracing. I was wondering if there was any danger, now or in the future, because of this. It is a 70 gallon cube tank (30X30X30)

Thanks,
Steve

If constructed properly it's not dangerous. The eurobracing simply adds higher tolerances for pressure against the glass (or acrylic) which usually translates to the tank having thinner glass (or acrylic)

I'm not sure about the thickness...I assume thicker than normal to compensate for the lack of iron. Eurobracing is non existent.

The tank is only 30x30x30. I don't really see the need for euro brace. If there is a plastic trim, I'm sure it's good enough.

If the glass is 1/2" I don't think it needs any bracings.

My 48x24x25 starfire have Eurobrace and it's 1/2" glass but for 30x30x30 I don't think you'll need it.

i guess the true test is to just fill it up with water and look down across one of the sides if you see any bowing..haha
im not structural engineer so i have no idea and just going by what ive seen.

... if it's well made, no problem. Look at ADA or Elos trimless tanks - no bracing whatsoever. I just had a 48x24x24 trimless tank built. The manufacturer said he wouldn't go any longer than that with the same height and width w/out the eurobracing. You should be fine, and it looks much better w/out IMO.

Thanks for the replies.

There is no trim...but I guess the general consesus is that it is okay if the glass is over 1/2" thick.

Thanks! I'm going to look into the tank.
