Want to re-landscape by 90 gal reef tank and have a few quick questions.
1 Remove my live rock and place it into bins with coral attached or should I remove corals and keep them separate.
2 I think I should use water from my tank to fill these bins and then after landscaping is complete make up new water?
3 Have 4 clowns and a purple tang and a fox face should the fish be left in the tank would it be less stressful that way or catch them and put them in a separate bin as well?
Any tip would be appreciated.

Thanks to SK8R for the information on how to properly handle working in our tanks. Will be sure to wear gloves glasses etc.http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/images/smilies/read.gif

Before you begin, you want to have a lot of premade and preheated saltwater on hand. Initially I would remove as much clean water from your tank as possible putting it in ideally large containers like Brute trash cans with heaters and powerheads for water movement. First remove the rocks. You are going to stir up a lot of detritus when you remove the rocks . Ideally keep the corals on the rocks, but more than likely as you aquascape you are going to have the rocks positioned in a way that the corals will be in the wrong location and then need to be removed. I would remove the fish after the rocks. During the aquascape, as the water gets murky it can kill your fish in addition the the risk of crushing the fish during aquascaping. Some of the fish may burrow into the sand, so be sure to make a head count to insure you got all the fish out and into the containers with the old tank water. After you have the rocks set up, siphon out as much of the murky water as possible, it has the potential to start up a new cycle.
