Large predator, sponge and NPS tank

I've had my 250 up and running for about 6 months now. I keep large predators mainly in it and have started wanting color in the tank but I dont like to keep much light on my volitans so I started keeping a few sponges in the tank and they are all still doing great and I recently added a sun coral and a cauliflower coral last week.

I feel that for the sponges mainly I have a bit to much light and was wondering what lighting everyone uses for an nps tank that still allows for a night and day cycle for the fish. Currently I have 4X 4ft T12 bulbs on a 7 foot tank with the over lap in the middle over the 2ft glass center brace.

I was also wondering what everyone feeds the different nps corals. I currently use rods coral food, coral frenzy, rotifers, arcti pods, and now with the sun coral mysis shrimp.

You could put the sponges in the overhangs so they wont get as much light

Yeah my orange frilly sponge got bumped by the eel and put it in the light I've moved it since then. The entire rock structure has about 50+ small over hangs for sponge placements. I think I might just add some light diffuser to tone down the lights a bit and calm my mind a bit.
