large tank question

i have a chance to purchase a large tank for a very reasonable price. the tank is 24x24x84, which i believe is 200 gallons. the tank is 3/4" on the sides, and 1/2" everywhere else. also, there are two overflows, one on each end. they are on the outside of the tank, but they are part of the tank, not hang ons. does anyone know what name brand this is , or who may have made it.

A lot of tank manufactures make tanks with external overflows. It's fairly common. There is no telling who made it. Is it glass or acrylic?

it is acrylic, and believed to be about ten years old. i see no cracking or glazing . all the seams look good. has been kept in a controlled environment. i remeasured, and it is 3/4" except the bottom and top. should i just do a water test, and go from there.

always do a water test. that way you arnt stuck with 210gal of water "in your house"

i dont know much about acrylic tanks, but if you took a picture of it and posted it, someone might recognize the handy work. just a suggestion.

Just fill it up with RO water to do the test and if everything passes throw your salt right into the tank so you don't have to worry about draining and re-filling.
