Larger Zoa systems and dosing

I've a rather large selection of zoas and have run into problems lately.
Some of the colonies look really bad. Dips won't really help and I've seen no signs of predators.
If I transfer a colony from my main tank to another of my smaller ones(with no other zoas in it), it recovers in just a few days.
SPS and LPS look perfectly fine in both systems.
I've read that zoas use strontium and it seems that water changes alone won't keep up with that.(I'm going to buy a Sr test tomorrow)

What do you guys with larger zoa tanks dose? Strontium, iodine?

I too have a pretty decent amount of zoas i'd say over 30-40 diff types and all i really do is biweekly water changes and a cap of iodine from brightwell aquatics. Seriously never test my water because everything does great and awesome growth. I just started dripping kalk at night for kicks, so we'll see...

I was struggling with the same situation. I did some reading and started Vitamin C dosing and in 2 weeks all my zoa colonies are starting to come back to life and looking amazing. Good Luck!

can you post a picture or link to the actual Iodine/Iodide from Brightwell aquatics your using??

literally just ran out lol I will when i get some this week. It's a black bottle with red background. Usually less than $10 bucks. I also use kent pro salt. It's not as expensive as the fancier names and comes with elevated levels of basically everything. Haven't had any cons yet.

do you have a link to dosing vitamin c? I'm reading the one in the zoanthid forums now. Is there another one you are using? Thanks

Fixed the problem with raising my nitrates and phosphates. Tank is a 200g bare bottom with only 2 fish. It seems there just wasn't enough "waste" for nitrate and phosphat to rise.
