lawn mower blenny changing colors?

hey i purchased a LMB a week ago and it was completely gray/ white with the a couple of blue spots. but ive noticed its changed colors its now a purple brown with a red line going across its top fine the blue spots are still there but is this normal?

Mine changes color all the time, and rapidly. It's almost like a chameleon. When it's in the rocks it gets dark to match the rocks and when it's out in the open it gets light colored like the sand.

Mine as well but I think hes got more of a orange tint now than when I bought him. He was gray and white when I got him.

You can really see his camoflage in action, especially with their unique posture. Their tails halfs are lighter than the head so when they sit on the sand the tail blends in while the head is darker like the rocks. It's really neat, and now that mine is comfortable in the tank and feeding readily he is really personable. And those eyes they almost look intelligent.

oh thats cool cause i just thought it was odd. mines really shy but eats like a pig
