ok my tank raised clown has 120g to swim in and uses 6 sq inches of water....

after 1 day in the tank he figured out where the feeding hole is (right, front side of the tank).. now he sleeps there, swims there, LIVES there.... I have tried feeding at the other side of the tank but he just waits for food to make its way to him.... lazy??? He seems perfectly healthy... he eats flake and brine , BUT copepods SWIM right in front of him and he doesnt eat them???? (my live rock and the sand bed is literally CRAWLING with them)...

any thoughts?

I have a Maroon Clown pair and they're definitely not interested in pods of any kind. Flake food, CycloPeeze, Mysis... but pods, no dice

you shouldn't exactly expect your clown to be swimming all over the tank. my pairs will go about 8-10" from their host anenomes but thats about it. Like in the wild, they find a safe spot and hang out there, they aren't exactly the swifest swimmers so they'd be lunch if they wandered too far away

Perfectly normal behavior in a large tank. Mine in my 12g seem a lot more active, but realistically they use probably about the same space as yours is.

ditto to what slakker said...i have 3 clowns in a 20 gallon and they only stay in the left side of the tank...rarely do they venture off into the right side...they'll only go there to chase food every once in a while...

in all 3 of my piars the smaller male is more likely to travel around, the larger female just guards whatever "turf" she picks as her own.
