How many of you have them in your reef tanks? And with what other fish? I wanted to see if they would be ok in my tank. I have a magnificent fox, christmas wrasse, I want to put like 2 more wrasses and maybe a bellus angel. Any advice greatly appreciated.
There may be a chance a curious wrasse would nip at him since he will try to look like some sort of leaf. I've known people that have tried to keep them with triggers and the trigger always ends up being stung.
leaf fish need very passive tankmates, low flow, no competition for food. better in their own tank or with seahorses or other slow scorps. BTW, though they may be venomous, I've never heard of anyone ever being stung.
I had one in a year ago in a LPS softie reef in a red sea max 130. He did great had him with a purple firefish, a longnose hawkfish, a mandarin goby and a yellow coris wrasse. Had to feed him live food so I had to get rid of him when I upgraded to my 250g because It was going to be dedicated to sps's so it had much more flow and it would be also hard to get the live food near him in a tank that size.
