Has anyone ever tried to reseal a jbj nano cube?. Empty now but has a small leak. Any advice appreciated.

Tried to reseal a 28gal nc....leaked at the top right corner......once I did that a month later the bottom seal gave out.....not cool good luck dude. If I was u I would just reseal the whole damn thing n not chance it.

Not like this may help at all but when I did seal it again u used the "pro caulk" tool u would see in tv...got it at walgreens for like 5 bucks....worked like a charm

Ill check into that. just sent an email to jbj. if i can send it in to reseal i will. lets see if i get a response.

What brand of silicone did you use? Did you strip the outside silicone out and redo it also? How hard was the process?

I used marineland aquarium clear silicone. I stripped out all the interior silicone but the outside silicone was fine and didnt need replacing. The only hard par tabout the job was the back chambers are so tiny to fit my big hand in. But you have a bigger tank so you should find re-sealing the back chamber section easier. overall took me about 1 1/2-2 hours. pretty easy and i had a special plastic tool to round out the silicone and smooth/even it out. it was 3$ at home depot and worth the money for the bigger job.

Good luck with jbj, my tank was literally one week and one day out of warranty and I went weeks of going back and forth with them...then they sent me out a new tank and it was not level on the bottom so I had to send that one back and I finally got a good tank...patience and Persistence is the formula wen dealing with them bc they seem to be quite stubborn. Good luck dude it is a pain...oh and FYI they will tell u the warranty is only good for a year from the date of purchase.
