Leather at top of water

I have a finger leather that is almost touching the top of the water. What is going to happen when it does reaches the surface? I don't want to move it down or frag right now.

it will be fine ..i wouldn't worry ..it might just adapt to the water line...

No water, no go... It will probably go horizontal, as opposed to going vertical.
