Leather coral not expanding....?

I have had a leather coral for about a month and it has been doing great. For the last 3 days, however, it hasn't been expanding. Is something wrong with it? What do I do? It doesn't appear to be discolored or anything.

it is shedding. Give it a few days and a glossy film will shed of the leather and the polyps will push through. They do this from time to time most likely to do a little growing.

Mine do this all of the time. Nohting wrong with them, just the way they are. Ive had my lather abotu a year.

I felt the same way fishgirl. Give it time and everything should be fine. My leather took almost a month before getting comfortable.

can you post a picture of the leather/softie coral? that would give us a better understanding of what you're seeing.

it could be a shedding event or it could be something else and it could be something not visible (picture would be worthless) but at least we'd know what genus/species we're dealing with.
