i have a leather coral that has split into two is it okay to cut it off the rock at the base so i can give the other peice to a friend.

okay thank you ive been wanting to get ride of the other peice its just too big so ive been wondering if i could just cut it. it grows really fast

I received an unknown leather (to me anyway) ~14 years ago on a piece of LR. A few tank moves and I still have a nice piece that I need to frag now that's in a 28 vs a 125. I am sure it'll be a "free-to-good-home" price but I've had it so long I can't let it all go... In the 125, it had grown to monster size. Not the most elegant coral in the sea but a nice resting place for our aging yellow clown goby.
