leather corals?????

I have two different types of leather corals, one on each side of the tank. When the corals are looking healthy they have little hairs that stand out. My problem is that one lether will be looking nice and healthy and the other will appear to be closed up (not showing any hairs). And then within an hours time each leather will switch roles, the healthy looking one will shrival up and the unhealthy looking leather will bloom and look wonderful. What could be causing this shift? Could I have various levels in the tank which are fluctuating?

This problem happens mulitple times a day, every day..... does anyone have any thoughts????

They do that all the time. At least toadstool does. My yellow fiji keeps it's polyps extended most of the time. But when it does retract them it does for weeks at a time.
