I have a mixed reef that has a green tree leather in it and would like to add some acros to it. I have heard that leathers kill acros alot. Has anyone seen that.
I have acros and a big toadstool. I run carbon in a reactor just in case. I know there is risk but I really like the toadstool. Acros have only been in the tank for 4 months, but there have been montis in the tank for over a year without problems. I keep the acros on the opposite side of the tank. Kind of a softy/LPS side and the other side is all SPS.
I've never had any problems keeping the two together. I try to replicate the parameters listed in the link below the best I can and nobody seems to complain. My Nitrates might bounce around a little, but that's about it. I do run a little GAC too btw.
