Is it okay to leave my cleaner shrimp in a fallowing ich tank? Pulling all the fish out and putting them in qt. Only thing left in there will be snails, shimp, coral

That's what I figured. I QT'd everything but the wifey brought home a coral beauty and wanted it to go right to the tank :headwallblue: Not wanting to set the QT back up I told her to go ahead then bam... just my luck

Yes you are correct. Just wasn't sure about leaving my cleaner in there. Done it before but thought I'd check with other members

I think it's funny how there are so many different answers on the web. Some say 2 months, some say 72 days. Then there are those that say ich never goes away and is always there. The LFS in WF Texas actually told me ich doesn't even exist and its just the fish getting stressed.... lol.
You need to assess the credibility of your source. :fun4: 72 days is correct for maximal surety.

Yeah I wanted to say something back to the lady for saying that but didn't feel like getting in an argument over it. I'm all with you guys if you say 72 days that's what I'm going by.

Yeppp. It all started because I asked her if her system ever had ich in it. She came back with: no, you do know there's no such thing as ich right, just stressed fish. I just walked out the door.
Ichthyophthirius multifiliis (white spot disease) and cryptocaryon irritans (marine ich) are totally different despite being very similar.

Ya know I knew that they were different organisms but at the same I never really though of them as different diseases for some reason till you just said that. I have no idea why.
