Led Fixture

Hi all,
Any one know anything about Aquatic Life LED Aquarium Light Fixture, 48-Inch? Is it good for a 75 gallon reef /fish tank ?

Thanks,
Semper Fi.

I have 2 of the 48inch ones mounted inside a hood. I recommend you do NOT get the 'full spectrum one as the greens and reds are massively overpowering to the point i had to put tape over them just to tone them down or they made the aquarium look like a christmas tree. I also put some diffuser on the 'full spectrum' light to help.

I tried a second 50/50 from them in combo to the other and the 50/50 looks pretty dim to me. Looks dimmer than the cheap current orbit led i had to be honest. They make some lofty claims about PAR on their website but i'd like to see it backed up by someone else's tests.

If i had a par meter i'd test them myself but they don't look as bright as they claim them to be.

One other note. They run HOT. I mean you could almost fry an egg on the top of them especially near the power plug.

Here's a pic that's as close as i could get to real life brightness. The grave/sand is very very slightly overexposed.

Thanks, I was ready to pull the trigger; they really know how to sell them. They look dim to me and have plans to put SPS. I will look for other alternatives.

Thanks again for your time,
