Echinophyllia is very adaptable to different lighting conditions, though they seem to color up best IME under moderate lighting. Ive had leptastrea under 250wt MHs, about 20" below, and it has done very well for me.
I have quite a bit of both and there all different in various light/flow tolerances
Generally speaking though with echinophyllia low to moderate lighting, some like direct lighting you just have to be carefull and slow to find out if indeed you want to find out.
Leptastrea Im finding are less concerned with light as they are flow, for this I would say low to moderate light with moderate to strong flow. Half my leptastrea are along the flow lines of my sps just usually angled or overshadowed. One thing I also have noticed is leptastrea can be slow to respond in both positive and negative aspects, so keep a consistant watch till it's been in the tank for a few weeks. Good luck! Leps are one of my favorites!
