I rescued a few frags of what I am pretty sure are Leptogorgia virgulata over the weekend. They had washed up on a beach here, and I pulled off some areas that were still live and put them in my system yesterday. I have a couple nice pieces that are bright magenta in color, and a few smaller ones that are bright yellow and look like they may not make it...
Anyone have luck keeping these? According to Borneman's book, they are asymbiotic which is consistent with their appearance (FWIW) so far. I put them in my 10 gallon under CFL lights, which also has less flow and more nutrients than my reef. I threw some zooplankton in this morning, but would really like to save these guys if somebody has a better idea! I'll try to post photos later- the colors are really great relative to the symbioitic gorg's in my reef.
Thanks,
Stuart
