i was thinking about doing this. the only problem was, i dont have a maxi-jet

it works very well, but the one that i have stop propelling after a power outtage. i would have to tap the propeller for it to run again.

I couldn't get mine centered, so the prop either didn't spin or kept flying out. After three days of tinkering I just gave up.

Doesn't look like you put a stop in there, to keep your prop from spinning the wrong way. You might want to do that, or else you'll have to keep turning it on/off until it spins the right way.

xia, it happen the same way when i did mine, i trim down the propeller or buy a smaller propeller. it should work.

I have four of them and they work awesome. Pump out about a 1000 gph each. I am not running them currently and would be interested in selling or trading them if anybody wants one or all 4.

it works fine, so far I dont think I need a stop for the prop. every time a plug it it spins the right way.
