Mine isn't the current model, but I love my Nikon 5200. The macro is amazing! Here are some shots I've taken with it...

It's funny because I have a house full of cameras (35mm & digital) and I always fall back on this one. It's so small that it lives in my purse and is very easy and intuitive to use. The only thing I would possibly want is a larger lcd screen...I believe they did that on the model after this one. But the $169 I paid on eBay was certainly well worth it! I would definitely consider the Nikon line if I were you. Also check out the website " Steves-Digicams.com " where they have reviewed just about every digital camera known to man. I always use it as a reference when looking at cameras.
