Level

Just checking that tank is level before I start filling it.
It is dead level from right to left, but from front rear it is not perfect, it seems the back is slightly lower. The problem is that the back of the stand is up close to a wall and I can't get in there to shim it.
Pic of level attached. My best guess is about 1/16 " would make it perfect.
Do I need to get it perfect or am I ok the way it is?

Sorry pic is sideways.
Couldn't believe I was actually able to upload it!
Usually I get a message that the file upload failed so I am never able to posts any pics

How large is the tank, dimensions? If it's rimless, do you have a leveling mat between the tank and stand platform?

Probably just me, but as the bubble isn't completely within the level boundary, I'd want to try to avoid a major catastrophe as I've definitely had a 55 gallon's front panel fail because of poor leveling.

I can't get back there to get the shims in.
Best I could probably do is one shim on each side at the back but none others across the back.

That's exactly what I did. No shims in the back. Just sides and front as needed. Perfectly level. I used plastic shims for obvious reasons.

How long is that level based on the surface you are leveling.. If its a 6-8 inch level on a 24 inch span, and the level is 1/8 out then you are 4 /8 out of level or 1/2 inch..

if its a 2 ft level on a 2 ft span than your prob 1/8 out depending on quality of the level. Not all levels are equal..

With that all said figure out what you need shim wise pull the stand out and tape them in place then put it back... Repeat until your True ..

Good Luck

Well I used an electronic level with an LCD reading and I have it at zero on three sides and off by one tenth of one degree on the last side.
Think that's as good as I'm gonna get it.
Personal experience has taught me that in situations like this I'm better off to quit while I'm ahead.
Thanks for replies.

Is the tank full? The thing will settle if on a wood floor and could get better or worse. Is the level accurate? Anyway I think it probably is ok
