leveling 180 ?

I just upgraded to a 180 and the tank is not level. It's slightly tilting to the front and very slightly tilting to the left and on carpet. I was lucky to find a used AGA Mission style stand, the first year it came out, the only year it was built out of real wood, not presswood w/ vinyl fake wood. The tank seems to be on the stand fine, all corners being supported.

Should I be nervous about this? If I have to take it down, now would be the time.

if the tank sits fine on the stand then just level the bottom of the stand. have you thought about the bracing of the floor? are you on a crawl space? basement? slab? just not wanting you to look over the basics as this is a large tank!

The tank is on the concrete basement floor under the carpet so that is no problem. The problem is the tank is full and leveling the stand would require me to empty everything. Not that I won't if this is a problem, but obviously would rather not have too.

i think the problem would be it the between the stand and the tank was unlevel. but you say it is between the floor and the stand so i think you should be ok. i would wait until someone with more knowledge chimes in

I don't have a 180...yet, but I do have a 30g on carpet. If the tank is stable, then you should be fine. Mine is off a bit but it's not going to fall over!! If it bothers you, then fix it. If not, happy reefin'!!
