What is the difference between an idaho grape montipora and purple montipora cap?

Color and texture. Idaho grape is a lighter purple with a gray/ brownish froth edge. It is also heavily ridged. The purple is much smoother in texture and has a strong vibrant purple color, similar to welch's grape juice.

I was at Ty's yesterday. His frags are all Idaho Grape.

Exactly. I had Idaho grape and I removed it. It was way to drab.

I found a couple of 5" x 7" chunks up this way on Friday. Just haven't pulled the plug on purchasing them yet.
