LFS in Houston TX

 ...no. IMO, there is not any fish store around town that I am comfortable spending my money with. I see too many issues with livestock in the LFS's tanks and I prefer to buy dry goods and equipment online.
Sorry I am no help, just my preference.

All About Fish. The owner is a little standoff-ish until he gets to know you. It is on the south bound feeder of I45 between Almeda Genoa and Fuqua, just south of Hilton Furniture.

Sometimes if I'm up in Houston I stop by Fish Gallery on Hwy 59 but I haven't been there in a very long time.

Global Leader Aquatics in Humble in awesome, it's like 10-15 minutes from the Woodlands. No idea if that is near deer park

Fishland off Westheimer and Eldridge is good. Nice owners (whom will give you discounts when you buy) and good selections.

I live in IL so I dont know Houston at all. Last thanksgiving I visited my mom in Houston. I went to City Pets on the west side. I though they had a fairly good selection of coral and livestock seemed to be in good health. I picked up some really nice coral and had them ship it home to IL for me the following Monday.

Check this place out. It is well worth it. He is going through some changes at the moment, but he has some of the best prices and selection in town! Used to be a liquor store w/ fish in the back, but converting to a fish/coral only in the next few weeks!

I've heard very good things about the liquor / aquarium store from a trusted reefer friend in Houston but I haven't made it up there yet. I definitely want to check them out.

Dennis is a really nice guy. Does not have a ton of inventory, but will get anything you need. Not the best area of town though.

Love fishland on westeimer great prices good selection, also like global leader aquatics but it takes me 30 minutes from the woodlands. recommend joining Marsh Reef online in Houston sign on and check it out.

City Pets, T&T, and FJW aquariums are all great shops.

City pets has the largest variety of corals by far.

T&T probably has the best SPS selection.

FJW best prices and customer service!

I think everyone has hit the larger full time places. There are a couple more guys on the south/ southeast side of town closer to Deer Park that are selling coral and fish by appointment that are sponsors on MARSHreef.com. Look in the sponsors section for contact info on BAMF Aquatics and Frags & More.

Thanks for that! I'm practically within walking distance from Frags & More and didn't even know they were there!

the liquor store? denis?

come on guys really? for one i made the mistake, didn't dip and ended up with flatworms. Both acro eating and then zoa eating nudies. NO good. Plus i heard the people he deals with catch their fish with cyanide...that did it for me. I mean yea every store has their problems. Then one time one of my buds asked him why so much coral was under stress he blamed it on the fact that his hands are always in the tank.
