i know im not from your local reef club but i will be in the Des Moines area in a few weeks and was wondering if you could give me some names of good lfs to check out nad addresses to them thank you

We don't really have anything spectacular. Adam's Aquatics off of 42nd st. is about the best there is. If you want to buy some aptasia you can go to Iowa Sea Scapes :

check the greater iowa reef society's page at greateriowareefsociety.org. There we have a list of all our local fish stores, and Adam's Aquatics and Iowa Pet Foods and Seascapes is about all we've got. We Iowans do a lot of online ordering

ic ic thanks i know the aquatic enviornment is a very nice store i have been there several times if you buy anything or not it is worth the trip in my experince and usually decent deals and there specialty is salt water it is in davenport

If your driving down I-80 stop at Sea of Marvels. They just opened the new store and there easily the best store in Iowa.

i would definitely recommend stopping at sea of marvels, it's a nice shop. Here is their new number, 319-665-2277, give them a call for directions, but be prepared for a heavy Vietnamese accent.

That should do the trick. I recommend taking the I-380 exit northbound of I-80, get off at the North Liberty exit, take the first right-hand turn onto Kansas street, drive just past the Casey's General Store to Madison street, turn right, and continue on the the big blue aluminum sided building. well i went to 2 of them 1 in des moines called iowa food or somthin it was ok but bought nothing there how ever the new one in north liberty was very nice (sea of marvles ) all though there fish prices were through the roof they wanted 75 for a med fox face when i got one last week in burlington for 35 but i did get some good deals on some nice corals it was very impresive to see a store with nothing but salt water stuff thanks again
