Life after red bugs?

I wanted to get some of the experts opinions on this. I recently did the Interceptor treatment back in December following the required 3 treatments. My SPS appear to be doing a lot better since I completed the treatment as I would expect, but I am currently dealing with increased nutrients and quite a bit of cyano. I started the Dr. Tims Re-Fresh and Waste-Away regiment to see if that will help with the nutrients and cyano. I'm only one dose of Re-Fresh into that treament plan so not much to report on that.

One thing I have noticed and I wanted to get other opinions on is dosing. My dosing of Ca and Alk has gone up substantially in the last 3-4 weeks. Since my treatment I have gone from dosing 45ml daily of ESV Ca and Alk to 110ml daily now. It seems like a pretty significant change and I was wonder if others have noticed similar results after RB treatment.

My ca/alk use is up since my RB treatment (not double however, so check your Mag, if it is low it will be hard to keep your ca and alk up). I attribute it to increased growth now that the RB aren't irritating my SPS. Your increased nutrients are from the die off, increase water changes and keep your rocks and sand blasted off until it improves. Even blast your rocks and keep your lights off for a day or two if it is really problematic.

Your corals are growing better (again). I would suppose that this is more like what you might see from now-on with healthy corals.

I haven't check my Mg lately since it never really changed much. I usually had a hard time keeping it below 1500, but with the new system demands maybe that has changed. Thanks for pointing that out.
