Nope, first things first. Until you're cycled, you don't have an environment suitable to support life properly.
Look at it this way, by cycling, you're already adding life, it's just to small to see!

ok cool my little hitchhiking stars are good for now will they make it?

If you have a refugium you can grow macro algae and all of the little interesting critters that go along with. Lots of hithchikers on LR will come out (and maybe even thrive) during the cycling process as well.
