I have a 20g Long nano. I have a hagen glo t5 ho lighting system, dual lamps one 10k and one blue actinic. I then added a cheap-o wally world T5 strip (14w, 14" lamp) to light up the tank more for viewing. My problem is i have a canopy and a glass lid....on which I sit my hagen light. The strip is mounted on the canopy. So my 2 primary lights sit roughly 12" from my sand and the strip roughly 14". Now, I need a new lighting solution because I want to ditch my glass canopy because with the wood canopy and the glass I have to open one then the other to feed or do maintenance. I was looking into LED, however I dont want to spend the time building a setup. So I looked into what was out there and I found ecoxotic Panorama LED Module at fosters. So at 14" away from the sand bed how many of these fixtures would I need to replicate my dual T5's (48w total) and the cheapy T5 14w. I am growing a mixed reef, mostly soft, but I have a monti cap, pink birdsnest and small brain that are all sitting between 1-4" off the sand bed. I have a huge frogspawn sitting 5" from the sand, zoa's sitting 4" up, a toadstool leather at 2" up and a finger leather sitting on the sand.
