Light hanger help?!??! Brian

How the heck do these yo yo hangers work. I dont have my lights yet but I was trying to figure them out. I am just confused now. Thanks Chris

There was a gray clip at the top of mine. That, you mount onto the ceiling or whatever you're hanging the light from. Then, you attach the string to the light fixture. The wing nut on the light hanger is to adjust the tension. If your fixture is heavier, you'll need more tension to hold it and keep it from falling farther.

What is probably confusing you is that the things require a certain amount of downward tension (which I would think just about any reef light fixture would provide) in order to keep them from retracting. My recommendation would be to get a weight similar to what the fixture will weigh and attach it. That will let you set-up and test everything until you get the fixture.

Thanks That is what I figured. Without a load on the hanger it would not work properly.
