Light height Question

looking for suggestions on lighting height I'm currently running a marineland 48 pro 32982 model.....the light is resting right on the tank w T5 Halide combo on a 90 gallon tank that is 24hx49w x 17 d...the t5s are 2 blue plus 1 aqua blue special and 1 actinic ( all ATIs)...the halides are Phoenix 150s, thoughts on what the tank height should be off the tank with that lighting, ( no remote idea as to what the par value is ) TY.

I would start it at 10-12" above water level and move down as needed. You can run closer like 6-8" but may be too much.

I'd leave it on top of the tank. 2 x 150 watt isn't that much light to begin with. If heat is an issue, I'd raise it to 6" above the tank and go from there.

6" because of the 150's. I would have gone with 250's on a 24" depth. If heat causes you problems a fan hooked up to a temp controller set to turn on at a specific temperature will keep your temps under control. Be aware this will cause a massive change in how much water you evap.
