I am fairly new to the saltwater reef aquarium. I have a question for my new setup planning. Before asking, I started thinking with these motives;
1. I want a tank with less light consumption.
2. I want my soft corals multiplied by fragging and growing them in seperate tank and than transferring them into my future display tank.
3. I want to have corals that requires low flow.
In order to satisfy these, my frag aquarium desing would be;
First, dimensions would be 24.48.6h inches (only 6 inches of depht),
Second, lighthing would be only 1 t5 actinic tube 12 inches above the tank.
Third, the tank will have sump underneath and would have surface skimming on the one side.
Fourth, there will me wave pump in the tank. Only circulation would be from the sump power head. The flow from the inlet of the power head would be seperated evenly from the other side of the tank thorough to surface skimming and return.
My question is would this kind of setup be successful to satisfy my goal that I wrote here as my motives?
